Meet Heather Nair John, MS, CCC-A
Heather brings more than 20 years of audiology experience to High Desert Hearing Center, with a career that has taken her across hospitals, private practices, the U.S. Army, and even into Arizona’s mining industry. She earned her graduate degree in Audiology from the University of Arizona and has since dedicated her career to improving lives through better hearing.
Her journey has included launching the first Cochlear Implant program in Tucson, Arizona, which also served Southern New Mexico and Northern Mexico, and creating vestibular and balance clinics that transformed care for countless patients. Heather also spent time at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic, where she deepened her expertise in complex cases and advanced hearing technology. Her experience spans the full spectrum of audiology from conducting neonatal ABRs to fitting hearing aids for Army infantry.
Heather’s approach to care is patient centered. She believes in giving patients the time and space to fully understand their options and take an active role in their treatment decisions. Her goal is always the same: that each patient feels heard, respected, and confident in their care.
Beyond her professional work, Heather is passionate about the arts, history, and her community. In Grand Junction, she loves supporting The Art Center, CMU’s Moss Arts Center, local bookstores, and Friends of the Library. She also enjoys skiing, hiking, making jam, and curling up with a good book.
For Heather, quality of life means helping patients reclaim the moments and connections that hearing loss or balance challenges may have taken away. She is excited to be part of a warm, forward-thinking team at High Desert Hearing Center and looks forward to bringing the best in hearing healthcare to the Grand Valley and the Western Slope.
Patients often describe Heather as sincere, trustworthy, and highly skilled, a true partner in their journey to better hearing.
